The rooms include a balcony with views of the mountain. Superb place to stay in the village of Cha das Caldeiras. The guesthouse is relatively new and taken well care of. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Convenient location just at the beginning of the hike to Pico. There is a hotel bar and restaurant on site with reasonable prices for water and drinks (indeed the same price as in the shop across the street). Do yourself a favor and arrange the food at the restaurant before you arrive, as the food here is absolutely delicious! Also possible to buy a packed sandwich for the early morning hike to the Pico, and perhaps have the breakfast packed (actually not much difference as the breakfast is bread, cheese, boiled egg and some fruits). Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

The place was perfect for us: great location, wonderfull view on the caldeira and on the volcano, quality of the staff, size of the room, good food made by them. They have done everything to feel at home. Take time to discuss with Adriano, he has many stories to tell you about the caldeira and about Fogo. Right on the edge of the cliff overlooking the Atlantic. Just awesome. The swimming pool is edge-side as well. Perfection. Lounging around, reading, swimming, drinking beers. I stepped out our room five paces and played guitar with my legs dangling, lush greenery all around, overlooking the Magnificent Atlantic. Surreal. The photos we got are out of this world.
