With La Fortuna Waterfall reachable in 32 km, La Tigra Rainforest Lodge features accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. This was probably my favorite part of Costa Rica Trip! It was so surreal to spend some time disconnected and surrounded by such beautiful nature. Loved all the trails, but sandaderos in bosque la tigra was my favorite. It’s a primary and secondary rainforest property they have nearby and you can visit it for a small fee. I saw there more wildlife by myself than in any other forests walking with a guide. I did a night tour and we walked around the property, not even rainforest further out, and saw 3 snakes within the first 5minutes, so many frogs and other insects, and the guide was very knowledgable. I also planted a tree there and it was a really beautiful experience of giving back to the nature and community. Overall service is 10/10, always with a smile, always asking a question or two. No connection at all anywhere except the reception, but wifi there is stronger than in most coworkings I have visited here in Costa Rica. The only thing that was challenging for me personally and I have not seen it mentioned in the comments is if you sometimes get car sick, a road to the property will make you car sick, so please have some medicine handy. But it’s the entire area around that is like this, so just accepting it as part of adventure. I recommend staying for 2-3 nights and spending it in the lodge area enjoying the nature, the best disconnection and reconnection with the self “retreat” 🤭

Free parking is provided at the hotel. It was absolutely brilliant. Sadly we spend there just one night before heading back to airport. Next time we coming for morecnights for sure. Breakfast is excellent and hot springs in Volcano Lodge are very nice especially on evening.

The decor was stunning, and everything was spotless. Having a kitchen in the room made us really happy, and having a private jacuzzi in the garden was amazing. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I absolutely, without a doubt, highly recommend it!
