Everything in the apartment is clean and cozy, and the kitchen has all the basics for cooking something simple like eggs in the morning. The hosts live about 30m away and were very friendly, we could always reach out to them if we needed anything

Amazing breakfast, in a hospitable B&B run by two knowledgeable and very helpful people. The building has a great history (see https://www.theprojectheerlen.nl for details) and shows it still. Local artists have made (excellent) mural paintings in the rooms. Our room itself was spacious, light (windows on both sides), renovated with eye for both comfort and historic detail. A 7 minute-walk from the station, and the B&B's rental city bikes were helpful and of a high standard, too.

The staff was very friendly, the facilities were pristine, the room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The sauna was well worth the price of admission and so was the breakfast: plenty of fresh, tasty options to choose from. Definitely if ever presented with the opportunity, I would book a stay in this hotel again.
