We had the suite, with the large terrace, directly on the beachfront. It was simple amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service can be arranged by whatsapp. The menu and drinks have enough variety for 5-6 days. The beach is very quite and beautiful. Highlight was diner at the beachfront. Also, the spa menu gives your some good options for relaxation.

Our stay was beyond amazing. Our room was brand new and the pool was really nice. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the manager and his family were outstanding hosts. They tried to really make us feel at home and this was definitely the best stay of our holiday.

We feel very lucky that we had a chance to stay here. Could not recommend it more. We've got everything we needed. There was hot water with powerful steam, A/C, adapters for electricity. You can also order breakfast, lunch and dinner for really fair prices. The property is located in a very peaceful and beautiful area with peacocks and nature all around you. We've got privacy and the owners were very helpful, kind and sweet. We also rented a scooter from them. When we arrived we were offered a welcome drink which was very pleasant. When we were leaving they also arranged a tuk-tuk for us to go to the bus station. If you have a chance to stay here - do it. It was one of the best stays in Sri Lanka. We feel thankful and we would be happy to come back one day.

One of the best experiences in Sri lanka trip within 3 weeks. Amazing place, not only appartment but all Rekava. Definately one of the most underrated places in Sri lanka. If you are in doubts - you definately should go there. Peace, silence, nature, ocean, turtles, amazing people - this is Rekava. Lookout lodge is excelent accomodation - new house, all clean and comfy, perfect location near the beach and turtle watch center. Good restaurant nearby (reccomended by Chami). Excelent breakfast and peacefull conversations with owner. We felt like home there and all our wishes were fulfilled with smile. And - there is a pool now - we where the first users and it is great. Appriciated by our boys. Sorry that we booked just 2 nights there, would have liked to stay at least a couple more days. What made our week’s stay at Lagoon Gate Tangalle Resort truly exceptional was how well looked after we were by Lalith and his family. My friend and I were interested in yoga and exploring, and not only did Lalith connect us with everyone to ensure we had the best possible experiences, from yoga and kayaking to whale and turtle watching, but we got to discover the closely connected local community. Rooms were spacious and spotless, our meals were freshly home-cooked, and there was plenty to see in the tropical grounds. Tangalle is a stunning part of Sri Lanka, and we are grateful that we really got to make the most of it.

We had beautiful stay at this amazing place. Personal was always here and helpful, arranged for us tuktuk and bird watching tour. The room was amazing, clean, spacious, comfortable, we were upgraded for free. Ever day nice breakfast- different options available. Long Beach with palms and minimum people. If you get behind the waves, you can swim there. But best for long walks. Few beach restaurants nearby with fresh fish. Calm and peaceful, ideal if you want to get away from the crowds and just spend time with the sea and yourself.

The room was big and clean, the view was incredible, the surrounding was calm and full only of birds singing. The food was delicious and the guy there was extremely versatile and ready to help us by arranging the meals and the turtles watching as we wanted.

    Lovely studio set just back from the beach in a quiet and beautiful area. It’s was so wonderful to be in such a quiet and serene location with the waves the only sound. Nish is a fantastic host and the food was both delicious and plentiful. He very kindly organised a Sri Lankan cookery class with him and his Mum, also got to eat it afterwards, yum. The beach is stunning and had a few plays in the waves although a little rough to swim. Also had a yoga class a few minutes away which was hard but felt great after.

    Lovely villa with spacious bedrooms and a nice living room and terrace facing the pool and the garden. Very convenient with kids. The beach is almost all yours and pretty but the waves are huge so young kids cannot swim by themselves. Location is remote which is good and bad (beautiful nature but a bit far away from places to visit - except Udawalawe Park and Mulkirigala temple which are easy to reach and both amazing to visit). Philip and Dushantha are very nice and were adorable with the kids.
