The tiny house really is beautiful as it's in the middle of the jungle and super comfortable. the nature is at full force as monkey and birds are seen regularly. The people were so kind and the food was really good. The prices are very competitive too. Overall top place!

Simply the best homestay in Habarana! The hosts are so kind to us and welcoming, home-cooked food were affordable and delicious, breakfast (included in price) was amazing and you get to enjoy it over the tree tops overlooking the lake. Room was clean and spotless, thank you Lake Wind! 😊

Nice and clean room with big and comfortable bed, terrace with a view on wonderful garden Cozy and quite place Amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts (and dinner - to be ordered extra if you wish) - delicious, diverse, homemade (homegrown fruits served) and very much filling Wonderful host - very helpful and always concerned about his guests. We get all needed tips how to get to places we wanted to visit on our own/by bus, but also get arranged tuk tuk when it was needed to save some time (very reliable and worth recommending driver) Nice location with bus stand to Kandy just in front of the hotel and close to the center (800m) where bus to Polonnaruwa/Anuradhapura can be caught

This was hands down one of the best stays we have had in SL and probably one of the best overall elsewhere too! The rooms and facilities were outstanding and the food was exceptional whether it was SL or western food. The staff were excellent and made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. There were little thoughtful touches at every moment of our stay and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. we did not want to leave and will definitely be returning!

I’ve stayed at Oleena Homestay before and loved it, so I’m back again. I like the serenity of the place set among trees and plants and bird songs. And the hosts, Jeewa and Masha are wonderful people with their lovely daughter Oleena. The breakfast were sumptuous and they are able to arrange savoury lunch and dinner 😋. Masha is a great cook. 😍 The garden rooms come with your own private balcony. One may have the food at the balcony or at the nice airy dining hut. Jeewa was able to arrange trips around the area. Excellent hospitality. 😊

Leo and his wife(Wanda, I think) were amazing hosts. They gave us plenty of helpful tips, cooked amazing food and even put on a birthday celebration when they found out one of us had a birthday. All staff were great, the pool hits the spot and the rooms are spacious and cool.

We had a great stay at Visu Villa. Ruwan is a great host who is very kind and helpful. He showed us nice places around Habarana and told us more about the way of live. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable. Also the pool is nice and refreshing. We can recommend the elephant safari. It was beautiful and they go when it is not so busy. The workers who did the safari with us even made an aftervideo. We totally recommend Visu Villa!

We had the best time at Dulwan Guest House. Upali is just the most wonderful host and took care of us the whole time. He drove us in his tuktuk to Pidurangala and Polonnaruwa, he was super patient and waited for us while we visited and hiked different locations, and the price was great! He gave us a lot of recommendations to eat locally, and also cooked us the best gluten-free breakfast, includding wadde and hoppers which we absolutely loved. The bed was very comfy and the AC worked great, for the price you really could not ask for more. We could only stay one night but would have extended our stay if we could have just to explore the area with Upali! Thanks a lot for everything!!

    I recently stayed at Habarana New Star Home Stay for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The accommodation offers three rooms: two with air conditioning and one with a fan, all featuring ensuite bathrooms and kept very clean. The friendly hosts were a highlight, providing excellent hospitality and offering tuk tuk services to nearby attractions. The breakfast served was delicious, adding to the overall pleasant stay. The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk from town. Highly recommended!

    you can not go wrong with this well managed hotel. rooms are convenient and very clean. the included breakfast is realy good and kalhara is a smart host and gives any help with safaris, renting scooter, transport to or from his location. especially when you arrive by train a quick transport can be arranged by telling kalhara as soon as you know your estimated arrival time. best idea for me was renting i scooter. but you can walk to the village just 800m away. i can recommend the place.... thx

    Nice modern place which was very clean with a beautiful garden. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and also included coffee or tea. Dinner was offered during my stay at an additional price and was also outstanding. Great location, very central if you want to visit Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Ritigala. There are also a lot of opportunities to see wildlife including elephants in the area. Would highly recommend for anyone travelling in Sri Lanka.

    Excellent place! The rooms are spacious, very clean and modern. The place is quiet. There are only two rooms and are fully separated so you will not get noise from next door neighbours. The balcony is very nice to to sit there and relax. The owners are very friendly. Breakfast is delicious and even too much :)! Great location! Only 5 mins walk to big supermarket and bus stops. You can take bus easily to Sigiriya or also the tuk tuk is very cheap as the rocks are close by. There are direct buses to Kandy or Anuradhapura.
