The tiny house really is beautiful as it's in the middle of the jungle and super comfortable. the nature is at full force as monkey and birds are seen regularly. The people were so kind and the food was really good. The prices are very competitive too. Overall top place!

Kalhara made our stay perfect. He organized wonderful tours (safari, temples, dance show), and her wife prepared amazing breakfast and dinner! Everyday we had a different menu, always good and with Sri Lankan delicacies. The room was huge, spotless clean, with a very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful, with palm trees and flowers, with a nice patio where we relaxed before dinner.. We had also a very nice walk close to the lake and ricefields, from the road in front of the hotel. We strongly recommend Swan lake to everyone wants to enjoy Habarana area

Firstly, this is a gorgeous property, very private with beautiful layout, interior design and architecture. But what really makes this property stand out above the rest is the staff. Every single one of them were so welcoming, always with smiles and no ask was ever too much. By the end of 3 days, it felt like home and the staff like family. Special recognition to Dining Manager Dipal, who we shared many conversations with and often think of with fond memories. We stayed half board and I would without doubt recommend this option. The dinners are 5 course curated fine dining, and honestly every single meal we had, was outstanding! Breakfast and afternoon teas were the same in taste quality and definitely my favourite food experience throughout our two weeks in Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful time at Oleena's quiet and peaceful homestay. Breakfast, dinner and accommodation were great and Jeewa can take you anywhere you want at reasonable prices - be it to Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, an ayurvedic retreat or a spice garden. We would return any time.

Very nice hosts, loved chatting with Wanda and Leo om the evenings! Amazing food, the curries for dinners were the best we ever had. The location is right in the jungle, so we made friends with gekkos and squirrels. A great stay!

It was the greatest place to stay in Habarana if you are looking for a budget friendly option. The room was with a treehouse chalet. The interior of the room is perfect and well designed in an eco friendly way. The manager is so friendly and professionally helped us with A to Z. There is a nice pool anyone can enjoy. The food is amazing. There was a small boy who assisted with everything perfectly. From the property to the town is close by. They helped us with organizing a village tour that was fantastic. Per person cost was LKR 2500/- including bullock cart ride, Catemoron ride in Habarana lake, village lunch etc. Such a wonderful experience! I highly recommend anyone who would like to visit Habarana to choose Visu Villa as their stay. 🥰 I never expected this kind of a wonderful star hotel service in a budget villa like this. Make sure you put Visu Villa in your bucket list. ♥️

Lasanta and his wife were amazing hosts. Lasanta took us everywhere we needed to go in his tuk tuk, showing us spots we haven’t thought of with his local knowledge all for a good price. He even took us to see the elephants in his tuk tuk to top off our experience with them. Lasantas’ wife made amazing dinners. The best food we had whilst being there and the room is very clean and has a nice style they are very attentive hosts always making sure you are happy. We really recommend this place to anyone.

What a lovely place to stay, wish it was longer. Air con worked great. Friendly dog that guarded our room at night, so cute. Our host was lovely, calling us the day before to get the check in time right. And also made us a late delicious breakfast after we came back from our safari.

The hotel is at a perfect location close to Sigiriya and many interesting sights. It has a huge, beautuful, lush garden which made our stay really relaxing. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast freshly made, tasty and abundant. The best experience was the kindness and friendliness of the staff, especially Dulse, who was always polite, attentive and made the extra mile for us. He catered for us breakfast even if we were slightly late, and allowed us to come back for a shower in the afternoon at no exrra cost. I truly recommend this beautiful place, we had an amazing time here.

    I recently stayed at Habarana New Star Home Stay for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The accommodation offers three rooms: two with air conditioning and one with a fan, all featuring ensuite bathrooms and kept very clean. The friendly hosts were a highlight, providing excellent hospitality and offering tuk tuk services to nearby attractions. The breakfast served was delicious, adding to the overall pleasant stay. The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk from town. Highly recommended!

    you can not go wrong with this well managed hotel. rooms are convenient and very clean. the included breakfast is realy good and kalhara is a smart host and gives any help with safaris, renting scooter, transport to or from his location. especially when you arrive by train a quick transport can be arranged by telling kalhara as soon as you know your estimated arrival time. best idea for me was renting i scooter. but you can walk to the village just 800m away. i can recommend the place.... thx

    Nice modern place which was very clean with a beautiful garden. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and also included coffee or tea. Dinner was offered during my stay at an additional price and was also outstanding. Great location, very central if you want to visit Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Ritigala. There are also a lot of opportunities to see wildlife including elephants in the area. Would highly recommend for anyone travelling in Sri Lanka.

    Excellent place! The rooms are spacious, very clean and modern. The place is quiet. There are only two rooms and are fully separated so you will not get noise from next door neighbours. The balcony is very nice to to sit there and relax. The owners are very friendly. Breakfast is delicious and even too much :)! Great location! Only 5 mins walk to big supermarket and bus stops. You can take bus easily to Sigiriya or also the tuk tuk is very cheap as the rocks are close by. There are direct buses to Kandy or Anuradhapura.
