Great location! Amazing view! The hosts are very kind and helpful. The apartment is very clean and cosy . The kitchen is well equipped and has all the necessary amenities. The beds are big and very comfortable. We felt absolutely at home there. A great place to stay, indeed! Highly recommend it.

“Awesome place” is a big understatement. It’s very cozy, clean, in a great place, and the view is unmatched. It’s exactly as you see in the pictures. You walk in as if you walked into your home - your name is on your door and the key is inside. It makes for a very welcoming and trustworthy feeling. I unfortunately didn’t get to meet the staff as I was only there for one day, however they seem very welcoming and nice. I was traveling there during Easter, and they gave me a heads-up that most stores / cafes would be closed, so I can plan accordingly. Definitely shows they care about your experience! Loved it. Hope I’ll be back soon.

The room was large, very light and spacious. Double bed, table that sat 2 so you could sit and stare out the window at the view, sofa in the room and hooks and coat hangers for towels or coats. The kitchen had enough equipment for cooking my own meals and a frige to store food in. Dry food I stored in my room. Large bathroom and space for parking my car. A short drive into town which would also be walkable. A local grocery store was close by too. The host popped in a couple of times and was friendly.

The apartment was better than expected. Very cosy and felt spacious. Although it was pouring rain and windy outside - it was always warm even on minimal settings. There was everything what is needed in the bath and from kitchen appliances. The beer and chocolates as a welcome were a huge plus after a long day travelling to the Faroe Islands. There were even earplugs near the beds - you could hear sometimes the neighbours laughing in the evening, but eventually it was quiet enough and we never needed them.

The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in the heart of the Faroe Islands with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. It is an ideal spot for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. The facilities at Giljanes Camping are impeccable. Everything was spotlessly clean, from the communal areas to the bathrooms and showers. The campsite is well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The kitchen area is spacious and fully equipped, which made meal preparations easy and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional hospitality provided by the owner, Kristjan. He went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcome and at home. His knowledge of the local area and willingness to share tips and recommendations for activities and attractions were invaluable. Kristjan’s warmth and friendliness truly made our stay memorable. Overall, Giljanes Camping is a gem in the Faroe Islands. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a family, or a group of friends, this campsite offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, comfort, and exceptional service. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the Faroe Islands. One more thing to add is that I wasn’t able to say my final thank-you to the owner, so I’ll have to plan another trip to the Faroe Islands soon!
