The view! The hotel restaurant is pricey (10% tip included) but it's super nice, good steak, and the employees were super nice. 1st real hot shower in Costa Rica! It's close enough to La Fortuna (30 min), but not too close. Very quiet. You do not need a 4x4 to get here, like I read in some reviews, if you are coming from La Fortuna, you just need to pay attention to the potholes.

This complex is very impressive. It is surrounded by nature and we've seen many animals on the property: coatis, monkeys, snakes, frogs and lost of big birds. There is a pool and jacuzzi. We had breakfast admiring the volcano and watching "National Geografic" unfolding live in front of our eyes. I think this is the closest you can get to "living in paradise".

It's a wonder to have such a "private" place in the hyper-touristic El Arenal Volcano area. Just imagine waking up surrounded by colibri and with majestic volcano in front of you. All enjoyed from the comfort of your bed OR hiking the private trails. The owner and his staff are caring for you and fulfil all your needs and wishes. Making sure you enjoy your stay to the fullest. Wonderful view on the Arenal volcano. Whole small house is yours. There is a small lake with a lot of frogs, birds and follower. The local security guy was kind to do a small free night watch of the flora and fauna of the lake. That was great. That nice security guy suggested visiting free hot springs nearby which was an amazing experience. Also, breakfast was very good and I was able to enjoy some local ducks playing outside during breakfast.
