One of my highlights of my 10 days of travel in Uganda was staying in Jinja at Home on the Nile. The location is incredible looking out over the water. It was very peaceful, and I loved relaxing and reading on the balcony. It's also close to the town centre and lovely cafes (for instance only a 20-minute walk or a very quick boda boda to The Deli). The staff were incredible -- extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. They made my stay memorable and helped to organize a white-water rafting trip for me. If I'm back in Jinja, I will always try to stay here!

En dehors du petit déjeuner, il n’y a pas de restauration sur place mais il y a la possibilité de commander et/ou de faire à manger dans la cuisine commune. De plus, la guesthouse héberge également « Jinja rafting » qui s’occupera de votre excusion. Très pratique !

Superbe villa, très bien décorée et équipée. 2 chambres avec chacune une salle de bain. Un beau jardin avec des jeux pour enfants et une belle piscine. Barbecue à disposition. Le tout donnant sur le lac, vraiment magnifique ! Je recommande pour un séjour au calme, avec des enfants.

The rooms were very spacious and clean, friendly staff. And David was very helpful and informative. And the best part was the view right infront of the Nile. It definitely the best place to stay in Jinja.

This should rather be named, "Gem on the Nile" - a stunning location, with spacious suites overlooking the river, with a really great dining area/bar! The owner, David, could not have been more welcoming, and a high standard of hospitality was also offered by all of the staff, every one gracious and friendly. The food was of an equally high standard: we ordered fish (tilapia) and it was cooked to perfection. Home on the Nile defines Value for Money - it offers a lot, for much less than many of the other accommodations that we stayed at during our Ugandan travels, whilst offering a similar high standard.
