He speaks perfect English and gave us great insider tips and restaurant recommendations. Thanks to him, we had the best Okonomiyaki at a nearby local spot – so delicious and unique! It was a completely different experience from Tokyo, where things often felt more impersonal. Here, everything was filled with warmth and sincerity. We also enjoyed a typical Japanese breakfast, which was simple, delicious, and such a special experience. It’s those little moments that make a Japan trip feel truly complete and authentic. The house is cozy, peaceful, and perfect for hiking. There are supermarkets nearby, and the whole area has a romantic and relaxing vibe. It’s an ideal place for couples, nature lovers, or anyone seeking a quiet break from the big cities. We felt completely at home and are already looking forward to coming back. Miyuki was wonderful: very helpful; charming and a terrific cook! The place could be a little hard to find but Miyuki picked us up at the station and it turns out there's an easy 15-minute walk to Suda station that's not on Google maps. It's a semi-rural setting and quite peaceful and was a great base for us for a day at Koyasan. The facilities were very modern and spotless and Miyuki's breakfasts were wonderful. Highly reommended, if the location suits you (as it did us.)

The house is beautiful, very big and has everything needed for a short or a long and comfortable stay! Everything is very clean, facilities are convenient and well equipped. The owner is very kind and helpful, great communication and warm welcome! So far my best booking on this app and my favorite place to stay in Japan, I 100% recommend it!

Every night there is opportunity to get to know them. Very welcoming and caring atmosphere. Cleaning every day to maintain consistent clean environment. Respectful and accommodating. Host helped me reserve things and was open to questions.

This is an amazing property and we loved staying in a traditional Japanese townhouse, in a quiet part of town. I was travelling with my husband and 3 adult children in early April. The location is great for walking into Nara (10-15 mins). We arrived in the evening and it was lovely that our host had put the heating on for us and it was easy to retrieve the keys from the key safe. It was a bonus to find there are 2 toilets and 2 hand washing basins in the property. We all agreed that the shower is the most powerful shower we have ever come across - amazing. All the beds were large doubles and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and our host had left lots of extra towels for us (far more than we chose to use). We liked that the bedrooms could also be heated in the evening, if needed. I used the washing machine and the instructions in English were helpful. There were lots of hanging rails to dry clothes on. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than we needed to reheat meals from the convenience store or to make snacks. For the rest of our stay in Japan we stayed in aparthotels in family suites. I was great to have so much room to spread out in for a few days. I highly recommend this property.

Yoko, the guest house owner is so so friendly, she has a lovely, kind energy and she makes you feel at home. I went in January 2025 (winter) and stayed with two other friends in the Economy Triple Room with Shared Bathroom. I was amazed by how lovely the room was, the tatami floors and sliding doors had a wonderful traditional feel, and there was even a seperate connecting room with a kotatsu table! This is such a cosy authentic Japanese experience, I felt very lucky to stay here. After traveling around a lot, hotel after hotel, having the feeling of being at home is so important. The room was spacious enough for all of us and the futons were so comfy, I slept like a log. The guesthouse was very clean, both our rooms, the toilet and bathroom area was kept so neat and clean. There's even a communal area with a guitar and place to sit and drink tea. When we first arrived, we chatted with Yoko and she mades us tea and gave us snacks in this area, it was lovely. I definitely recommend this stay, the location was super convenient for walking to local tourist attractions. If I return to Nara, I would love to stay at this guesthouse again.
