This homestay is one of the best we encountered in the Philippines! The room was big and very clean, as well as the bathroom. The toiletries and toilet paper provided were also a good surprise. The staff is so so nice! They make you feel at home and they really go the extra mile to help you when needed (they went to the bus station to book our bus tickets while we were away on a tour). The accommodation is a bit far from the city Center, but they have a restaurant so we didn’t find the location to be an inconvenient. The restaurant serves a good variety of good food in (very) large portions, for reasonable prices. Additionally, one major advantage is that you can take your breakfast/lunch while looking over the Banaue rice terraces, and that was really priceless ! We also booked a tour with their guide, David, and I absolutely recommend it! We had a blast, David was very nice and knowledgeable about the rice terraces. The tour was very affordable (although I don’t know the prices of other local guides). He even drove us to the bus terminal with all our luggage on the day we left for Manila.

The staff! Very responsive, flexible, informative. Our room was super nice, cute and cosy (#7) despite super small toilet/shower/sink (but we knew that from the pics). Also, it gets cold and humid at night in December, so make sure to ask for extra blankets! Food is affordable and good, prepared on the spot (loved the eggplant omelette and chocolate pancakes, great teas-we tried ginger and lemongrass). Joel was very useful in helping us organise our tour in Batad, with our guide Rachel very knowledgeable, pro and helpful (ask for her, she will tell you about the natural plant remedies and uses among other things)

A very basic place as you would expect in a place like Batad but has all the amenities needed, including food, comfy bed and even a rooftop which is a nice place to read after a morning hike around the rice terraces. The family that runs the guesthouse is super friendly and very responsive to messages. There is no wifi, but you can buy a wifi package very cheaply if you really need it during your visit.

The view is incredible and Irene and her family the most available. Her brother drove us to another city farther away to catch an earlier bus to Manila. So grateful!

Staying here was an amazing experience. Tani picked us up from the bus stop and he and his family are super friendly. We did a guided trek with Tani which was really fun, Tani knows a lot and loves to talk. He was also super helpful with organising our transport back to Manila, would definitely stay here again.
