They each insisted if there was anything at all we needed, to come and find them, and I felt they genuinely meant it. My favourite thing was watching the sunrise from the garden each morning, a glorious outdoor space, it felt very private and we spent quite a lot of time there each morning. Great to have use of the shared kitchen, the shower had hot water, and everything was clean. I would very much recommend this accommodation, they were attentive, kind and generous with their time, expertise and culture.

Located in a more quiet part of San Pedro both restaurants and shop was close by. The host Melissa was fantastic making breakfast each morning at 8 AM and could answer any question you might have whether things to do in San Pedro or how to get to the other small towns around the lake. I stayed in the dorm, which was a large room with two bunk beds sharing the bathroom with some of the private rooms. Everything was clean. Thank you Melissa for providing such a wonderful stay in San Pedro.

The casa is very good value for money.

He speaks Spanish as well as English and is very keen on giving advise about what to do in San Juan. He also offers tours, like seeing the sunrise at the Indian Nose viewpoint. We were the first ones on top and the last ones who went down there. He also took us to a beautiful rock on which you can climb after the Indian Nose viewpoint, which other guides don't do. We had breakfast together at a local restaurant with very good prices (you can't find these places without the help of a local). We had good conversations and laughed a lot. In my experience booking at a local homestay is way better than booking at a hotel/hostel that's ran by foreigners. We elongated our stay with one night, because we liked it so much there.
