Each air-conditioned room is individually decorated in a Moorish-inspired style. Rooms are soundproofed and have a flat-screen TV, CD and DVD player. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Each room has a microwave and kettle. The hosts are amazing and helpful people!! Jesus was always available to help us, he came to pick us up from the parking center, he informed about the activities in town and they served a delicious homemade breakfast!

The hotel serves a continental breakfast daily. There is also a variety of restaurants in Vejer de la Frontera, within a 5-minute walk.

The beaches of El Palmar and Caños de Meca are within 20 minutes’ drive of the hotel. Vejer itself contains some charming architecture, such as the Divine Saviour Church, located 200 metres from the hotel. The view from my room is spectacular, yes, of course lots of stairs but that is very typical for this town. Also, it’s one of the few places that had a very good breakfast included in the price. The staff in the morning we’re exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The architecture and decoration were authentic and lovely. But new and clean and fresh. Kind and helpful staff.

We are from California, American (USA) and British (UK) tourists, this is your place, make sure to visit Algodonales to experience the real Spain, not the touristy gross parts. Owners Rita and Paco are the heart of everything that is beatiful and wonderful about Spain as is their their adorable boutique hotel, La Güena Vida. The entire town was welcoming and warm, and patient yet appreciative with our limited spanish. Paco and Rita went out of their way for us. They got us tickets to the local bullfight days ahead of time and even surprised me at departure with a poster from the bullfighting festival. We were in Spain for 3 weeks (Cadiz, Ronda, Nerja, Malaga, Marbella) and this was the highlight of our trip. The absolut best part of it. We cannot wait go to back and stay again, and moreoever to see Paco and Rita, whom I cannot thank enough. We feel like we made new friends and the best memories of our lives.
