Owners of the homestay were very nice. The man speaks english and does most of the communication through whatsapp, which is very helpful. He responded very quickly to our requests and questions. We also booked a boat tour this way. The accommodation is very nice and clean and if you would like to eat at the homestay in the evening (besides breakfast), the wife will cook for you. The food is also good!! One thing to mention is that the homestay is not located at the location on booking.com, but they will pick you up at the busstation if you ask and drop you at the accommodation. To get around the city (which is about 20 minutes away) you can borrow the motorbikes that they have. If you’re not confident driving yourself, they’ll take you on the back. That’s what we did. The main road to the city is not really walkable so the bikes are a necessity. Overall we would really recommend this homestay if you like to have some chill and quiet time in a more remote area.

Mocay farmstay is a beautiful property on the south of Ben Tre. Húng and Nhiên, who both are genuinely kind, spent a long time showing us around and introducing us in to the local life. We had the chance to pay a visit to their neighbors and their farms (coconuts, grapefruit), taste amazing cuisine , collect seeds of local flora and get into the local pace of life. It's a dense and culturaly fulfilling experience. I highly recommend visiting Mocay if you are traveling around southern Vietnam.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful homestay for three days, and I must say, it was an excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with 5-star service that made me feel right at home. The owner, who spoke impeccable English, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. Every meal was a culinary delight, freshly prepared by the owner's grandmother. I savored authentic local Vietnamese cuisine that was bursting with flavors and made with love. It was a true treat to taste the real essence of the region's dishes. Beyond the exceptional service and delicious food, what truly stood out was the opportunity to immerse myself in Vietnamese culture. The homestay's countryside setting provided a unique window into the daily lives of the locals. I don't know if you know the feeling when you're on your way from one place to the next and only have to make a stopover to meet the basic needs: eat, shower, chill a bit, sleep, a taxi at an unspeakably early time and especially someone who will help you through all of this even though you don't speak a word of Vietnamese. We found so much more in the Hideaway Bungalows: the best homemade pho I have ever eaten, very authentic, large huts with a beautiful outdoor bath area, a panorama window in the middle of the most beautiful jungle with jungle sounds, a host who even later in the evening helped with concerns (vegan breakfast or ordering a taxi early in the morning). And all this in a wonderfully rural area, where you get to know a lot of people and are still connected to the city 24/7. Together they guided me to the right bus station and it was only on the bus that I really realized how lucky I was to have found this place.

This place is perfect to relax after HCMC. You get a rich breakfast (soup or eggs, tea, fruits) in a garden terrace with lots of flora. There is also a friendly doggy and a cat. Room was nice and clean. They offer bike/motorbike rental service to explore the area. They are also selling tours if you are into that but the best thing overall are the owners who promptly took care of every little inconveniences and overall were very helpfull and sweet. Limited english but you get in touch with their english speaking daughter via phone. She helped me to book a bus yay!

This simple homestay was perfect for us. They have everything needed to sleep, they offer breakfast options, bike rental, and they even helped us booked the bus back to Saigon at a very cheap price! The location is outside of the city center, but renting a bike makes it perfect to explore Ben Tre. They also offer tours though we did not try any.
