What a wonderful stay I had at Villa Sandamedura! From start to finish I felt taken care of! The hosts are lovely people, they prepared delicious breakfast every morning, organized a boat trip in Koggala lake for me (which is something I totally recommend doing!), Sam was always ready to answer all my questions, and it felt like a real homestay with the right balance of hospitality and privacy that I needed. The room is big and quiet, the location is very nice - 2 minutes walking to the beach, and a bus stop right outside as well. Would definitely recommend it!

We loved our stay here. It was so peaceful and the view of the lake is very beautiful. We had lunch and dinner and both meals were amazing! Really good home made rice and curry. We also took the boat to cinnamon island and saw how it was made. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax and see Koggola lake and walk to the beach I would highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay here — everything was truly excellent! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive; both the young man and the older gentleman working there went out of their way to help us and make sure we were comfortable. We stayed in a five-person room that had two double bed and one single, plus a shared bathroom. The room was spotless and very cozy. The bathroom has an open-style concept, which might not suit everyone for a long stay, but since we were there only for a few nights, it wasn’t a problem at all. Also, there’s a separate restroom downstairs near the restaurant, which is convenient. Breakfast was one of the highlights — they prepare your eggs exactly how you like them, and there were also warm chocolate-banana crepes, fresh fruit, and various drinks. Everything was fresh, tasty, and served with care. The pool isn’t very big, but it’s clean, refreshing, and perfect for cooling off. The garden area is lovely and relaxing, ideal for spending quiet moments outdoors. The beach is about a 15–20 minute walk away — not too close but definitely walkable. On top of all that, it’s an excellent value for money. We honestly paid much less than we expected for the quality of service and comfort we received. It’s a great price-performance option, everything about our stay was pleasant and satisfying 👏🏻
