This property is a real gem. The quiet simplicity of this beautifully located traditional Japanese house is hard to overstate. The wonderful breakfast before the open sliding doors looking out over the lovingly tended garden with the mountains as backdrop will remain unforgettable. Yuki-San is a delightful host, both warm and open and discrete at the same time. Easy to reach by train from Kyoto and close to the beautiful Akame waterfalls. Highly recommended!

Best stay in Japan! If you are traveling to Nara, take the time to stop here. We really had an incredible stay with Noriko and her mom. The traditional house is beautiful with modern equipment and spatious (can contain easily 4/5 persons) in front of the family temple. We particularly loved the discussion with the host, the homemade delicious breakfast, the morning prayer and all the delicate attentions from Noriko and her mom.

I was very fortunate that there were no other guests staying in the house and I had the whole space to myself, very spacious and comfortable, and the hostess Kyoko was so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place, close to Nara Deer Park.

Our stay here was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We loved everything about it. The location was beautiful, charming, and authentic.
