Such an excellent place to stay - everyone was ultra hospitable and accommodating, the food was delicious, and it was just a magical setting. Of the 30 or so places we've stayed in Japan, this one was the highlight!

The area is stunning. There are challenging and spectacular hiking trails all around. The staff is super friendly, even to those who don't speak Japanese :) Delicious breakfasts made from organic vegetables grown in the garden.

The staff were fantastic - very friendly, spoke english, gave great recommendations for dinner. Accommodation was about a 7 minute walk from the train station. The room was comfortable.

The owner was so sweet and she is such a warm person ! She also gave us a lot of advices as to how to acces to Mt Takao (it was very close by train). She also proposes to her clients to take them from the station to avoid them walking which I think is super nice !
