I stayed at Sea Dew B&B in Tullamore during the Trad Festival in April 2025, and I was genuinely impressed. It was spotless from top to bottom. The location was ideal, just a short walk into town, which made getting to and from the festival so convenient. Breakfast was both delicious and great value. Overall, a really welcoming and well-run B&B. I’d absolutely recommend Sea Dew to anyone visiting Tullamore and will definitely be back myself!

I loved the warm welcome we received upon arrival greeted with tea and lovely homemade cake. Host was wonderful sharing the history of this old building and their hopes to make the stay for their guests the best possible. They have a wonderful canine greeter Prim, a very friendly dog who loved to receive new guests. The room "Bishops room" was spacious and beautiful with a beautiful view, we were able to peak in to other rooms and each room is decorated according Riding the the era of the home with beautiful antiques. The breakfast was exceptional, the presentation perfect using their own free range eggs and they raise their own happy pigs that you can see from the site so bacon and ham was delicious. Surrounding is lush and absolutely gorgeous, definitely go on a walk (host has a map with information)

The house is fairly new, from 2009 the owner told me, and thus in pretty good condition. Also it was built for the purpose of a bed & breakfast and so it doesn’t feel like the private bathroom that comes with all the rooms (I figure) is crammed in. In fact I think the bathroom was the best of it together with the soft towels. Location-wise: I visited to castles while I stayed there. Birr castle that’s still inhabited and not open for visitors - their garden is quite large but I’ve seen better. The other castle - Leap castle doesn’t look like much from the outside. Half of it is fallen in… but the owner is fixing it up bit by bit. He tells you the story of the castle and he lets you explore the upper rooms on your own. Mind they don’t open on Sundays.

The owners where very approachable and accomidating. I was greeted on arrival and shown around the barn which is a large accomidation holding multiple rooms, a snug corner with some appliances for meals. As well as the bathroom and parallel shower rooms which are very clean and modern. I was shown to my own room which was adjacent to a groovy covered outdoor area.

The stay here was perfect. A little over an hour from dublin Airport this was a perfect stay for two days to recover from the travel. The killbaggen distillery is a 5-10 min walk away with several good pubs to grab a pint as well. Food options are limited directly in town if you are arriving in the evening after 8-9 so eat somewhere along the way or in dublin. There are some great restaurants around but like many smaller areas they arnt open late into the evening. Beds are comfy, hospitality was wonderful and I have no complaints about the stay. Hope to visit again!

The room was quiet and comfortable, nice private bathroom. Common space offered options for cooking and eating, very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Neighborhood bar and Cafe were great.
