We stopped here as a midway point on a 6.5 hour drive to cornwall. But so glad we did! Lovely find! Right in the centre of town. Hosts were so welcoming and we had everything we needed! Breakfast was amazing with a great relaxed atmosphere. I can't rate it enough!

Our room was beautifully furnished, light and airy, with very comfortable bed, shower and bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities with lovely large decorative cups, fresh ground coffee with cafetière too - fantastic! The bar and restaurant was cosy and was decorated with very interesting pictures and books. They served local ales and very delicious, top notch food. The hosts were great, very welcoming and friendly, interesting and knowledgeable. We just loved them to bits.

A superlative overnight stop: Hazel was the perfect hostess and her attention to detail in all aspects from the crisp white bedding to the cinnamon toast and cake at breakfast is to be highly commended.
