Carlos and Werner have created the most amazing experience. Their home is just so comfortable and has everything you need. Carlos’ cooking is fantastic! If you’re lucky enough to have the Deutsch pancake you’ll love it. Werner was so good with the tours and really took the time to make sure I had the best experience, suggesting options that weren’t on my radar but were fantastic. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

A perfect place to relax and enjoy the true pura vida of Costa Rica. The view is stunning, and all you can hear is the sound of nature, especially the birds singing. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the space is cozy and very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and different every day – a lovely surprise! There are several good restaurants, supermarkets, and gas stations nearby, which is very convenient. Carole and Paul were outstanding hosts, always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. It was an amazing stay in every way!

I stayed here the 2nd time, because Marita’s B&B is marvellous, Marita and Albert are very obliging and lovely host. They took care of me like parents. Breakfast is yummy. Their garden with all the colourful birds splendid. From here you can explore Arenal and Monteverde easily.

My partner and I went to Costa Rica mostly to surf but decided to stop by lake arenal on the way back to San Jose and we are so grateful we did! This lodge and the majestic ceiba tree that it overlooks are magical. The entire property is thriving with wildlife. Sergio, the owner, is so welcoming and knowledgeable about the local ecosystem. Breakfast is also to die for—both the food and the view are top notch.
