We got upgraded to the summit rainforest retreat accomidation so didn't get to see what blue gum was like. But really enjoyed the spacious upgrade.

The Summit B&B is located in a very quiet part of Atherton within a beautifully maintained rainforest garden that is home to many birds and other native wildlife. It was pleasant having a coffee in the morning and observing them. There's a well equipped kitchen and a BBQ. We had our grandchildren over for dinner and a swim. It was a great place for them to visit us while we were in town. The living room has very comfortable arm chairs for relaxing and watching a movie.

Beautiful, set on 10 acres, there are 4 B and B rooms. We had the Australian theme. We were met by our lovely host Penny, she couldn’t be more helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable bed and each have a spa bath. There is a walking track to the river where you can see Platypus and a short walk in to Yungaburra. So much to see in the Atherton Tablelands Region. There is also milk, coffee and tea, some port, chocolate and soft drink provided. Also have cereal and toast accompaniments in the room. Penny bought us our breakfast in the morning which we pre ordered the day before Choice of toast, juice then options of Breaky Burger, Bircher Muesli, Croissants and Fruit or Pancakes. Delicious!
