Located on the largest island in Dhaalu Atoll, Kandima Maldives offers an abundance of water-sports, the largest beach club and tennis and Volleyball courts. It offers a marine biology centre, an art studio and cooking classes. From start to finish, staff were very friendly and welcoming and well organized. Food was amazing at the buffet and the a la carte restaurants. Special mention to Sea Dragon, very good food and exceptional customer service. Rooms and environment was very clean. Everything was amazing, the room was breath taking !! Buffet breakfast was sensational too. Loved that they even had mimosa's and bloody mary shots. Staff were super friendly. Highly recommend doing the wine tasting. All the restaurants were incredible. Beach, so blue, so warm, so full of life !! Loved swimming with the friendly baby sharks.

The rooms are very comfortable, cleaned twice a day – thank you, Shayan, for keeping everything spotless. Special thanks to the waiters Vijay, Dilshan, and Shayan – always attentive, friendly, and smiling. Chef Nittin impresses with the variety and taste of the dishes – the cuisine is truly top level. The hotel creates a feeling of complete relaxation and genuine care.

But the best part is the staff! ❤️ They go above and beyond to accommodate every wish, they prepare all kinds of surprises, have great tours and excursions, and are some of the most warm-hearted people I have met. The prices are more than reasonable, and the experience of staying on a local island and immersing in the local culture is what a holiday in Maldives should be! Angsana Velavaru is a family friendly resort, and has an indoor and outdoor kids’ club, which offers a wide variety of activities including babysitting services. It was our first time traveling to Maldives, so cannot compare this hotel to others, but the whole experience was terrific! If you stay in one of the In-Ocean rooms, you are basically staying in the middle of an enormous exotic aquarium. Any time you desire, you just jump into the water and see all kinds of marine life, including turtles, stingrays, baby sharks, octopuses, and all kinds of fish! We even watched a group of dolphins swim around the reef. The room we stayed in was huge, which made us feel like we could stay in the room our entire trip without feeling the need to go out. The staff was great, but we stayed here during Ramadan, which was extra tough on them, having to fast. Also, there is a baseline difference between hospitality in the US and Maldives; having said that I think they did a decent job. The food options were good, but not particularly memorable.
