It's really clean, for sure the best hostel I went so far in India. Staf and volunteers are available and super friendly. They have a very conveniant café opened from morning to evening. They also have a parking to park car or bike. Beach is right next to the hostel. Well located between Pondi and Auroville. Best price value so far for me for an hostel

The Chennai International Airport is 150 km. I can't rate Maison Perumal highly enough! The building is beautiful, and our room was wonderful, large, very comfortable, with black-out curtains, and facing into a quiet courtyard filled with plants. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and helped us to organise activities and trips. We participated in a cooking demonstration which was fantastic - and breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were delicious. Thank you!

The staff was excellent: very polite, helpful, and friendly. My room was beautiful, spacious and clean with excellent amenities. I also enjoyed a lovely Keralan-style massage at their Ayurvedic Centre. Food was tasty and the menu had a good choice of varieties.
