Fantastic experience at Morgan Bay, so good we returned to M Bay, a week later, the day before we flew out from East London. As a bonus we got upgraded (Thanks you Nicola! at Reception) to a sea facing room next to the swimming pool. I think we were one of the few that used it that particular day, A tad windy just like home in Ireland. The facilities & room etc. were excellent & the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The Ernie Els red was sublime. Great experience also at the Spa, great way to while away an hour & feeling so refreshed after the pedicure & massage. Very nice touch having the Breakfast menu personalised with the guests names & a little info. on their stay etc. 10/10 for that. Next the food, breakfast was lovely with the freshly, a great array of food & the fried eggs done as we waited, a nice touch. Lovely slices of Cake to finish off. Enjoyed our snack at 6 in the bar before we headed in for a delicious seafood banquet with an array of fish & shellfish that was tricky to finish, but finish it we did, all washed down by the recommended white on the night by the attentive staff. Well worth the detour off the highway to this gem of a spot & all within an hour of East London. Do not miss the opportunity.

Absolutely loved it! The owner had just done some renovations of the apartment and we were the first people staying at the newly renovated place. I really loved how tasteful but also thoughtful in terms of practicality the place was furnished and equipped. The apartment is situated in the former Mitford Hotel (now all the units of the former hotel have different owners) and is right at the ocean, next to the amazing cliffs. For us the location was perfect, in the mornings we went to the beach for a swim, in the afternoons we hiked on the cliffs. Right underneath is the newly reopened restaurant Salty, which is open from the morning until dinner time, which is very practical, too. We so enjoyed staying at the Marula apartment and will definitely be back there one day.

🌊 Whispering Waves Cottage – Kei Mouth 🌊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10) We had the most peaceful and refreshing stay at Whispering Waves Cottage in Kei Mouth. The location is absolutely stunning – just a short walk from the beach, with the sound of the waves creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It has everything you need for a self-catering stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely braai area. The calm atmosphere and fresh sea air made it a truly relaxing experience. Our host, Awie, was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. You can really see the care and attention he puts into the place. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or a base to explore the Wild Coast, Whispering Waves is a hidden gem.
