We had an amazing stay at the Long House. The grounds, pool and hotel are beautiful. The rooms are large, clean and ours had a beautiful outside shower. We decided to go half board, and would thoroughly recommend. The choices were lovely, with a good mix of traditional and Western dishes. The staff are amazing, especially the restaurant staff. We couldn't recommend the Long House anymore!

Dear Nishanthi and Wasantha. You are the greatest hosts we’ve ever met! All the credit for our amazing holiday must be given to you as it was the first place we stayed during our travel, and the vibe you shared with us didn’t leave us up to the last day in Sri Lanka. Your attitude is incredible. We felt like being at home. The way you met us the first day (with flower garlands which smelled like heaven), the way you treated us during the stay (ready to help with literally anything we needed) - everything breathed love at your house. Your attitude really exceeds all the expectations. To those who are considering a stay at the place, please, don’t hesitate. This is going to be an eye-opening experience to what a 10 out of 10 is. No, this can’t be 10. We would give the hosts 10 times more if it was possible❤️. As for the cleanliness - it was incredibly spotless. This was the cleanest place we had ever visited throughout all our journeys. As for the breakfasts - oh, this was something unbelievable. Everything was so tasty, served so neatly. And the balcony, where our breakfasts were served, overlooks the lovely garden, so you can see some lovely birds, squirrels and enjoy the sounds of them while having your breakfast. They give you a small bag where you can put whatever you haven’t eaten, so you can take it with you to the beach or put it in the fridge (the room facilities are also provided) and eat it later. Another thing, which is worth mentioning, is the fresh flowers arranged around the room and on the balcony. So the place smelled so fresh, so nice. You can really see that they pay great attention to detail. Regarding the beach, it’s a three-minute walk from the house and you are going to be really surprised in a good way as it is not crowded at all and, as a result, very clean. So you can enjoy your time at the beach with no plastic thrown around it. There are also good cafes along the beach with quite affordable prices.

Great place to stay in Bentota within a 5 minute walk to the best beach in the area. There are also good eateries around with excellent food and reasonable prices. The rooms at the villa are maintained to the highest standards, very clean, hot water, kitchen, cutlery, complimentary tea/coffee. Channa, the host , and his family are very supportive, helped to arrange airport transfer and some other trips. Strongly recommend.

Hotel Management was good 👍 kind and thoughtful. The business and your wellbeing matters. For the price it's a Good Value and I walk to the beach. You have a short 100m walk which includes an adventure over a railway line. This is good fun if you're able bodied. Good bed with Mosquito Nets and nice furniture spacious room. Restaurant and other stuff walking distances.

Kia Ora, I had the pleasure of staying at Sithuka Villa in Bentota, Sri Lanka, during my recent trip from New Zealand, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The villa itself is absolutely stunning, offering a perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional Sri Lankan charm. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail in every corner of the villa really shows the care and love the hosts have put into creating such a serene haven. One of the highlights of this villa is its proximity to the beach. The beach is literally just a stone's throw away – a short walk down a lush, tropical path. The beach is pristine and peaceful, with clear waters and soft, golden sand. It felt like having a private slice of paradise, and I spent hours enjoying the sun, swimming in the warm Indian Ocean, and simply relaxing by the shore. The fact that the beach is so close made it incredibly easy to pop out and enjoy the beauty of the coast whenever I wanted. However, what truly made my stay special was the hospitality. The host and their family were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making my stay comfortable. They went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed, offering insightful recommendations for local attractions, arranging transport, and even preparing delicious traditional meals that felt like home-cooked delights. They treated me not just as a guest, but like part of their family, which made all the difference in my experience.     The property was right on the beach. The restaurant and bar overlooked the Ocean. Spectacular sunsets . The property's beach area was ranked and cleaned daily .the owner was attentive. The staff were efficient small but clean pool . Good standard of food .

    Not only the room was super clean, but every part around the hotel as well. The hotel beach is super. Not only for relaxing, but also for a seaside lunch or dinner. The restaurant is very cosy and the food magnificant. The entire staff is super friendly and helpfull. I would certainly recommend Amal beach hotel. It's worth every penny.
