We loved everything here. Very charming property by the beach with really beautiful furnitures and very comfortable. The staff is amazing, they are caring, they do everything for you to feel good and have the best experience. They spot every detail for you. The chef deserves a micheline star. The food experience was delicious. It is the perfect place to recharge. Thank you to the staff of kalkudah beach house for making this place a wonderful moment for us.

Small, cozy homestay in a quiet area, very close to the beach. The area is fenced and there are a lot of plants in front of the house. The main street in the town is about 10 minutes walk away, from where you can easily get a bus to Batticaloa. The room and bathroom are neat. The room is quite small, but sufficient, mosquito nets over the beds. The common space is a table with chairs and a large fridge. We highly recommend this place. And the best recommendation is that we came for 2 nights and stayed 6.

The best spot we've stayed so far in Sri Lanka! for sure a must come back to this Paradise... Quiet and calm days we had, even though fully booked it seems the resort is always "empty" and private just for yourself. Amazing sunrises over the sea, amazing beach, delicious food and friendly staff, always ready to satisfy your needs. The restaurant floor has also a "play room" which is amazing for the children to play while you can enjoy your meals. Art spread all over through the resort. Can't wait to be back again... We stayed in the cabin which was massive and extremely comfortable. Great bed, fridge, shower was ok too. Lovely balcony. The remoteness suited us. Probably better if u have transport as you are a bit isolated but food and drink are available. The rustic beach has poop on it from the cows and goats that pass but it didn’t offend us, we liked watching them. Great to watch the fishermen too. We loved it.

Nice secluded location, new building, clean and comfortable, great view from verandah over palms to ocean. Breakfast plentiful and staff very friendly and helpful I think we were first westerners to stay here and provide objective review. Read others and make your own conclusions.

The owners and manager were both lovely. Sunil offered to drive us around the nearby shops and beach, and gave us a great local experience! My friend and I got sick from a restaurant and the hotel staff were very accommodating in helping us get better and organising dinner and breakfast for us. The manager made sure we had everything we needed to have a pleasant stay, and also organised a driver for us to get to Arugam Bay!
