Excellent place to relax on the beautiful Tamarindo beach. The hotel offers excellent service and beautiful facilities, surrounded by gardens and nature. Within the hotel, you will see a variety of birds, monkeys, iguanas, and cats. Seeing monkeys was a special experience. Being on the beachfront, there's easy access to great surfing. In this paradise, you can enjoy nature at its peak. From the moment we arrived as a group, we felt at home. Breakfast is tasty, with wonderful cheese, delicious coffee, and various egg options. We also enjoyed the restaurant for several evenings and the food. The bar service has delicious cocktails and tasty pina colada. Our special thanks to the reception staff, Irwin, and Moises from the concierge service. This hotel is the best value in Tamarindo, so we would like to stay here again.

I get access to the big pool and breakfast at the bigger partner hotel, Daria! It's owned by the same owner. I paid less than half, then what friends paid at Daria. Add the breakfast it's totally worth it!

The property was well maintained and a true Authentic getaway. We truly felt Costa Rica surrounded us here. The location was perfect and beach front. The food was outstanding and fresh. We tried a few other places to eat in town and couldn’t find anything better than Ocho. The staff make you feel comfortable and cared for. They were right there for all our needs and more assuring our stay in Costa Rica was second to none. Thank goodness for air conditioning. The Bungalow was top notch and beautiful. We stayed in both 8 and 9. Only suggestion is to have hooks in the bathroom for towels and wet clothing and more space for clothing in bungalow 8. If you are looking for an experience of a lifetime Ocho Bungalows will not disappoint! Very romantic and exotic! We loved our pool time as well, massages on the beach, beach bar hopping, our private sailing afternoon, spa day, I could go on and on! Thank you to all!

Great location. Across the road from the main public beach, nice breeze almost always. Next door to a small supermarket. Easy walk 2 blocks to heart of town restaurants, shops, businesses. Traditional family run hotel - lots of character. Very safe. Guests are courteous with each other. Staff is super helpful. Shared kitchen is clean and tidy. Bright, open airy spaces - each unit has a small porch with hammock or table + chairs. Monkeys and exotic birds live in the big trees next door and a couple of chickens parade through the grounds from time to time. Charming, delightful.
