The fresh bread and butter on arrival were a lovely touch. Alexander is a fantastic host—always quick to respond and very helpful. The location is perfect, with a beautiful garden just outside. I’d happily stay here again when I return to Edinburgh.

It is set 400 metres from Edinburgh Playhouse and offers a 24-hour front desk. The apartment has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Our 3-night stay at Forth House was perfect and had everything we needed. It was so comfortable, clean and calm, and the location was perfect: super close to Picardy Place tram station, great breakfast cafes around the corner, short stroll to Stockbridge and Old Town. We were lucky to receive a free upgrade to a super spacious executive one-bedroom suite on the 5th floor with two terraces. It overlooked an alley with bars but we had no noise problems at all. Wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely book Forth House again for future visits to Edinburgh!
