We had a truly memorable stay at this beautiful private cabin. The moment we arrived, we felt surrounded by pure nature — green trees, birds singing, and the occasional peacock proudly walking by. Every morning we woke up to the peaceful sounds of the jungle — monkeys calling from the treetops and fresh air all around. The place felt very safe and calm, yet there was a little sense of wild adventure, which made it exciting. We even saw some wildlife nearby — like colorful birds and playful monkeys. It was magical to be so close to nature but still have the comfort of a cozy bed and our own kitchen.

Best stay we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The room is very clean and comfortable. We stayed for two nights and each morning the owner would’ve prepared breakfast which he bought from local people and restaurants in the area. We had e.g. hoppers, omelets, pancakes with brown sugar, coconut rotti, fruits, etc. The owner also helped with a tuktuk to Dambulla, and he had a little shed to park our scooters overnight. Everything was perfect :)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the owner was exceptionally kind and helpful. He truly went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us great local tips. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, cozy, and perfectly located just a short walk from the town center — very convenient for exploring the area. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious homemade breakfast each morning. Everything was fresh, tasty, and made with care — a perfect way to start the day. What can I say about Sajee and his family! We stayed in one of their rooms for 6 nights to rest and explore the area and they made us feel like family the whole time! The room was very clean, the mattress and pillows very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My favourite part was the patio in the front surrounded by trees and nature. All we could hear for days was the sound of the animals which was sooo relaxing! We spent hours relaxing and reading our books there. He also had excellent breakfast every morning, home cooked, and we were asked very often if we needed something (towels, cleaning, toilet paper etc). His son also took really good care of us. He gave us local teas and snacks to try which was so nice. They also helped us with our Tuktuk a couple of times that we needed it. We can’t thank them enough🙏🏼 we will definitely be back! Tip: while you’re there try the cooking class they offer once daily but book a few days in advance to be sure! People were coming every day for the class and we decided to try it too and didn’t regret it. We learned so much about the local cuisine and spices and we had such a delicious meal in the end🙏🏼
