The location is perfect in an idyllic little town, and the host is extremely friendly, with a lovely café just downstairs. We were able to leave our luggage before check-in, were warmly welcomed with an espresso, and he gave us great recommendations for our hike. Honestly, the host alone deserves 10 stars! (His tour tip was the Pico Grande round trip – about 1,300m elevation gain and 19–20 km, but absolutely worth it!) Everything was just wonderful – the facilities and cleanliness of the accommodation left nothing to be desired. We can only recommend it! Thanks for everything!

Beautiful location on the island of Madeira. If you want to get away from the city and experience a small village mountain town this is the perfect location. They had a great kitchen, staff provided fresh towels and emptied our trash every day. The fireplace kept us warm in the winter and you are walking distance to the town to try Bola de Cacao. We visited the Farmers Market and they had a small grocery store for items. You will need a car, while the bus does arrive there, you will find it easier to get around the island with a rental. We were greeted by staff and she was able to show us all the features of the apartment. It really does feel like paradise with the mountains, clouds and rainforest like experience.

Apartamentos Turisticos Paraiso are set in the main tourist area of Funchal, only 100 metres from the beach.

Very good location, very clean. We sit and eat in balcony like in a bar, because it was near main street. I would recommend for all my friends.

Such a nice staff of the hotel. Helpfull and polite, from cleaning ladies to the reception! Especialy Nóemie at the desk! They made us feel like at home! Warm swimming pool, hot jacuzzi, sweet little trust bar near the pool. Store,restaurants,pub near the hotel.

The hotel was excellent had lots of facilities being part of the PortoBay resort. Staff were super friendly and very efficient, everything was clean and well maintained. The location was also great in the Lido area, would highly recommend.

The location was fantastic. The view of the pool and the ocean was incredible. It’s a nice place to stay if you are interested in going on hikes and to some of the nearby beaches. There is a restaurant in the complex if you want to have a snack or dinner.
