It’s incredibly beautiful! Denise the manager is amazing and so are Hud and Amu in the dive shop, Nadish at the main bar and last but not least the so fun, so warm Rauhl at the Sunset Bat! Such a magic place!

Located in Dhigufaruvinagandu in the region of Baa Atoll, 29 km from Dharavandhoo, Baa Atoll, Dhigufaru offers a year-round outdoor pool and a private beach area. Drinks: We paid for all inclusive and the drink selection was huge! Several straight liqueurs (like vodka, two types of rum, tequila etc) you could mix with any soft drinks, about 10 cocktails to choose. Food: The buffet was incredible, the choices varied every meal but with some staples that were always there. The chef would cook in front of you - some days was burgers, some pastas, always eggs in the morning but with waffles as well! The table service was amazing, always making sure you had drinks. Dinner outside was great, with mood lighting on the tables as well. Rooms: We stayed 3 nights in a pool beach villa and it was HUGE and room service included every day. They cleaned the pool every day as well. They even set up a honeymoon decoration. The outdoor shower was brilliant! We then spent 2 nights in an over water villa and it was STUNNING! Smaller but it doesn’t matter, the views are unbelievable and there’s a reef about 100 metres up from the over water villas. We saw two black tip reef sharks which was just incredible, they didn’t bother us and was AMAZING to swim so close to them. People: The workers went above and beyond, always making sure you were comfortable and happy. They memorised our drink orders by the end of our stay. Afa handled most of our stay and moved us into a nicer room for our honeymoon - she really was amazing, thank you Afa! The workers were always doing something to make sure the island looked perfect: raking the sand footpaths, organising people’s beach chairs etc. passing anyone on the footpaths, they always said good morning or hello. Activities: I did a scuba dive and my husband snorkelled - we were the only ones on the boat, we were able to sit on the roof and look around. A pod of dolphins swam to the boat and my husband saw a sea turtle. I saw dozens of lion fish and moray eels, as well as abundant fish of all kinds. Easy dive and extremely enjoyable.

Facing the beachfront, The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort offers 5-star accommodation in Baa Atoll and features a garden, private beach area and bar. Everything was perfect but the standout was the staff. They went out of their way to make sure you were catered for and made you feel like part of the family. Everyone we encountered helped you with a smile on their face. We stayed in a Deluxe beach villa and had stunning views every morning. The villa itself was so spacious and had everything, particularly useful that there were numerous plug outlets in the room. We had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us on arrival. The outdoor shower was divine. All the food was beautifully prepared and portions were huge (there were often buffets for dinner). We found half board was more than enough. Standout dessert was the Baked Yoghurt! There is a huge range of activities to do plus a great gym and spa! We managed to see Dolphins, Turtles and Manta Rays. It was such a perfect stay, made only more perfect by my fiancé proposing on our strip of the beach. We'd like to thank Laurent and his team for giving us some incredible memories and we cannot wait to return. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone I know.
