Hotels near Mykonos Airport - JMK, Mýkonos City

The part of Mykonos island where we stayed was very quiet at night so you could get a lot of rest and relaxation, which was great. We had like a 3-5 minute walk to a beach, a store, and a couple of restaurants. It’s like 5-7 minutes from Mykonos Town or the Old Port where a lot of the main action is so you have to get transported there. We learned that you have to have a class M license yo rent the scooters 🛴 (mopeds). The cars and ATVs are fine to rent with a standard license but the scooters require a Class M or CM(I believe). It’s Grecian law but very disappointing for us lol! We would have been better off with the scooters as they rent them for 24 hours; the cars and ATVs as well but we had a dream of zipping around on the scooter🤗 we know now and I’m sure by the next time we go— I’ll be able to get one 😉 Don’t stay In Mykonos Town if you want peace and quiet. Do stay in Mykonos Town if you want a bustling night life with plenty of dining option well into the morning.

Location Next visit I would definitely avoid staying in Sunlight Tow N or any accommodation ran by Teo he is a rogue Booking should remove his listings, as he try’s to give people sub standard accommodation not what they book. And what he has on bookings is all fabrication the unit does not provide 15 of the things he lists as part of the accommodation and it does not look anything like the photos which are staged . Its ok, a bit of a walk to beach & main town but doable. No pavement though! Bus every half hour in either direction but if full up could be waiting for ages. Not much in the way of restaurants etc in the area, have to head into town or beach

Convenient for access to the airport. In a flight path of aeroplanes landing, but rooms well soundproofed. Little options for food on arrival. No reception area. Reasonable communication with host via messaging. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Hosts helpful with finding a well priced transfer from ferry. However, could be preferable to stay somewhere more pleasant with free transfers to and from port and airport.

Ornos was a lovely location - we preferred it to Paradise where we stayed last time (particularly for a family). But the beach gets very busy by lunchtime and there is only a very small sandy part to put your own towel/umbrella without having to rent a bed. The sun lounge rentals range from 60euro to 100euro for the front row. Near the beach there were many great restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets.

Asty is a great location, there is a pharmacy and Starbucks across the road, 10mins further up the hill driving is 360 degrees, Zuma, and all the beauty spots alongside by the port. Across the road from the hotel is a straight path that leads you into Mykonos Town, this walk is not for the faint hearted..it’s very steep and very dark at night.
