Sant Lluis is the district, the house we stayed at is in Son Gaixo which is a small residential area overlooking the sea. The nearest beach is Punta Prima ten minutes from where we were to the east. which is crowded with all inclusive brits who have clearly been eating too many cakes. It has music playing bars for those who like it lively. To the west of Gaixo are Binincolla and Binibequer which are much quieter and prettier. There is a beach between the two which seems not to attract the wrist band wearing hotel crowd. There are biciyle trails surrounding the towns of the Sant Lluis area which are also walkable as footpaths. There are signs and information boards up about routes at intervals. There are maps and trail books available online and in Mao. there is an Eroski supermarket in Sant Lluis and Mercadona in Mao. Mercadona do deliver to the area.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10
I had absolutely amazing, relaxing stay in here.
I had absolutely amazing, relaxing stay in here. It is true that the hotel is a bit isolated, but one should know this before booking a stay here. For me, this was perfect, as I was seeking for nice relaxing stay at hotel and chilling on the beach, which was just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The animation team is coming with plenty of activities, so even at the hotel you can not get bored. It was perfectly relaxing time at pool and beach. The hotel is well maintained and is really clean, the restaurant is beautiful with an amazing food, I did not find a single thing to complain about. I loved it and I would highly, highly recommend!Guest review byVendulaUnited Kingdom - 10

Binibeca Vell is a picturesque village and a very popular tourist attraction and it can get very busy during the day not that takes anything away from it. There are plenty of restaurants in and around the area to suit most tastes. There is no beach in Binibeca but there are two beaches about 2k from the village, one in Binibeca Nou and the other in Cala Binisafúller. There is a road train thar runs from Binibeca Vell to Punta Prima about every hour which is very handy.Guest review byJosephIreland - 8.0

Mahon is a lovely town where you can actually do loads of walking and if you're feeling adventurous you can go for a swim South of the port, which is about 20 minutes away on foot. Quite a few different places to eat and with a bus station serving all parts of the island with a visit to Ciutadella definitely worth your time. Met quite a few people that were using the town as a one-night stopped as part of some kind of food race or alternatively getting on a bus to somewhere and then walking along the coast and getting the bus back. If you like some technical and testing mountain biking it's definitely worth hiring a mountain bike for the day and hit one of the coast line tracks which are impressive but hard work.Guest review byEduardoUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Looked nice from the outside but was cramped and stuffy.
Looked nice from the outside but was cramped and stuffy. The bathroom had a window which looked straight through to a bathroom in another apartment. Very disconcerting. The balcony had no privacy. We stayed one night. Any more would have been purgatory. However reception was wonderful! Walking around was also quite pleasant. I would not return.Guest review byRachel - 8.0

We went to the airport straight to the apartments and everything we needed was there - two clean beaches with great swimming; a shop for all supplies and a great restaurant/bar. Paella was AMAZING.Guest review bySamUnited Kingdom - 10
It's just lovely.
It's just lovely. But I don't want it spoiled by hordes of other travellers, so I'm not saying anything, Just don't under any circumstances stay at the Pierre & Vacances resort on the cliff overlooking Binibeca Vell -- it's run by a short little guardia-civil wannabe gym-addicted Basil Fawlty on steroids with delusions of grandeur and his catatonic French "ordinateur dit non" manager. He's borderline psychotic and she's worse than useless. Pierre & Vacances will be receiving a substantial letter of complaint, and perhaps a court summons, very soon in regards to their actions. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Stay in one of the rooms in the reconstructed fishermen's village instead, and go to dinner at the P&V if you like. The wait staff are amazing, and DJ Fede spins lovely tunes at sunset.Guest review byPierreNetherlands - 8.0

Mahon is quite a small town perched on top of the cliff with attractive roads and footpaths down to the waterside. The historic centre has good shops and restaurants and the restaurant along the waterside are numerous and very good. A quick boat ride to the little island in the harbour - Illa del Rei - is definitely worth it for lunchGuest review byKatherineUnited Kingdom
