The room with 4 beds is really small. Cool common area on the roof with kitchen and living room, great to hang out (there is nothing else to do in the evening in the town anyway). Kind and helpful owner and volunteers who are working there are just awesome people and make you feel welcomed. And try to go to The Nomad Day Cafe, it had the best bread I had in Asia in months.

The location was in a quiet area on the edge of town but still in walking distance of a 7-11 and restaurants.

If you get the room with the balcony, you can enjoy the view while having breakfast. Peaceful and lovely. About 20-30 mins drive to Sun Moon Lake. I’d recommend this place if you are traveling by car.

The homeowner is lovely and provides you with everything you need, even a great kitchen that you can cook in. You have to have a car to get there, and the place isn't close to the town, so you will have to drive to get food or buy groceries and cook by yourself, which for us was a great experience.
