There was a heater available which was good for the cold nights in Puno and hot water in the shower. Giovanni was friendly and helpful and made sure I got what I needed, like keeping my bag there after checking out. Breakfast was simple of bread, butter and jam with coffee/tea. Location is also good, located close to the main square.

A balcony with lake views is offered in each unit. Judith, Josue and their beautiful boy Thiago were absolutely amazing!!!! This was the best stay after a huge bus ride. We were so relaxed watching the sunset cuddled up with a blanket. We were provided with the most incredible food - especially the fried trout and soup Judith prepared. Josue took us on a tour around Uros and also took my partner fishing!!! It was just so great. We didn’t want to leave. We also jumped in the lake which was beautiful and clear. A unique and special stay we will remember forever.

Featuring lake views, Richar’s home - experience Amantani with my family in Amantani features accommodation and a garden. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also has a restaurant and an outdoor fireplace. The homestay has family rooms. We felt the hospitality of Richar's family from the moment we arrived on the island till we said our goodbyes at the dock. The room was very clean, overlooking the island slope. The facilities are basic but functional and are maintained excellently. There's also a terrace to enjoy the view from the outside. All meals provided, lunch, dinner, and breakfast were excellent and served in a nicely decorated dining room. Lunch and dinner were traditional choices of quinoa/corn soup and cheese + vegetables/pasta second course, all with local ingredients. The pancake breakfast was more of a Western style and filling for the day.. Everything is very quiet on the island, even the roosters were heard only from outside. We had a chance to observe daily island life, see people going about their chores while wearing traditional clothes, watch the sunset from the highest point, and learn a bit about local beliefs and traditions. We attended the evening fiesta that was arranged for tourists. However, it mimics all the features, such as music, clothes, and dances, of authentic island celebrations. Knowing some Spanish will significantly help enrich your island experience.
