We could have bicycles for free, I mean they not great but ok to get to Vat Phou. The restaurant is really good, Really enjoyed the food and luckily they had nice vegetarian options. Very helpful staff, organized our tickets to Don Det easily.

Food is great and affordable. We wished we stayed longer. Sunrise is astonishing. Just enjoy and relax. Tip: rent a bike in don det and spend at least 3 nights there. Bring some school supplies for children if you can :)

Darren was a fantastic host- very attentive and had great recommendations about things to do and places to eat. By talking to him we gained good insight into life in Don Det. We enjoyed a spacious, clean room with a big bed, beautiful views of sunset over the river, hammocks, a fridge and a good shower. Darren also offered pick up from the ferry, and he met us there with our luggage when we were leaving.
