Exceptional location and incredibly warm and welcoming staff. More than just accommodation - it’s a unique and memorable experience. Everything about our stay was wonderful, from the view of snow capped hills from the rooftop outdoor onsen, experiencing the traditional public onsens along the main street, to the delicate dishes served in the private dining room.
It was one of the best stays for is in Japan, the hosts were wonderful. They took us to the Snow Monkey Park, they even got us a pair of boots for the park. The hosts were so nice. The accommodation was clean and we enjoyed our stay so much.
The unique hotel created special vacation atmosphere for us, revealing japanese authentic interior, resort feeling and welcoming hosts. The room was big and comfortable, futons were perfect for deep and long sleep. Onsen for guests helped relax and enjoy the stay.
A great place to stay with an authentic Japanese feel. The onsen at the accommodation is amazing and a real highlight. The Japanese style rooms are very comfortable and warm. Would definitely stay again!
Tetsu and Miho as owners of this hotel, are outstanding. They could not do enough for us during our stay. The property is very well maintained and offers the quintessential ski in and out experience in the traditional Japanese style. The breakfasts and dinners are extensive and abundant, as is the menu at the in-house cafe. The equipment hire shop offers great gear at value rates. The owners went out of their way to accommodate our every need and we highly recommend the Kitashiga Holiday Inn
We loved our stay here. The couple running Daymaruya work hard to look after their customers and we did feel well looked after. The accommodation is very traditional and comfortable. The location is great , right in the heart of the onsen street. A highlight for us was the amazing breakfast. We really loved the food and the On site indoor and outdoor Onsen were great. We would happily stay again.
Lovely traditional accommodation. Clean, comfortable and stylish with friendly, helpful staff. A beautiful place to stay close to the local sights. Great facilities.
Lovely accommodation, not far away from the trainstation. You can choose a Yukata for the stay in this hotel. Nice view from the higher floor. But theres no lift so I would recommend to travel with light luggage, not like I did. Super friendly owner who drove me to the snowmonkeys. The walk back was nice. The owner even dried my shoes after there where wet from the rain
Very nice traditional Japanese accommodation with hot spring bath room. The host picked us up from the train station and took us to the snow monkey park. We had really pleasant stay and will recommend this place to anyone that wants truly amazing Japanese experience. There's also the best sushi place we have ever been nearby.
It’s in the middle of Shiba Onsen, such a beautiful place and vicinity well preserved with the Japanese culture. During our stay it wasn’t so busy so we enjoyed the place so well. But the best compliment is the service of the owner of the place. I believed it’s family owned and run. The staff name “Su” was very helpful. They even give us traditional delicacies whenever we go back to our accomodation. The private onsen inside the accomodation is very well maintained too. We’ll definitely come back again. Thanks again! 😄
