Grundarfjörður is 42 km from Lava Water Accommodation. Snæfellsjökull National Park begins about 60 km west of the property. We were in a cottage (Hraun) and the tiny house was absolutely great. Exceeded our expectations! Self check-in and checkout was very efficient. The hot tub was very modern and changing facilities were available (heated!). All in all we had a great stay!

Very nice location, you can see ocean through room window with mountain in background. It is quit uniq place in small town. There was hot tub available which we used - very clean and what a view. Great.

We liked everything about the house. We expected to have a break there from constant driving of previous days, which we did - just hit some nearby attractions (Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge and Lóndrangar) and took a costal walk to Arnarstapi.

The staff are very gentle and empathetic. We had a problem with the rental car and they did their best to help us, and succeeded, always with a smile. Without their help we would have lost precious vacation time. Also, we saw the northern lights from the hotel terrace!

This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The guest house has a hot spring bath and a shared kitchen. Our stay at the Guesthouse was excellent, even though it was short. It's a little bit out of the way, BUT the surprise was evev bigger. The owners, Leslie and Craig, have done wonders, and the accommodation is excellent, and the owners are so hospitalitable. Great choice from us 👏👏

Absolutely fantastic place where you can enjoy aurora show in private.

It was one of our favourite spots of our holiday, just because of the design. The visit from the doggos were also a treat, however they do tend to be a bit pushy and want to come into the units haha. The location would also be perfect to see the lights, however, we had cloudy skies.
