Housed in a building dating from 2019, this luxury tent is 6.8 km from the Gullfoss Waterfall. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The yurt was fantastic. It was 10 times the value of a hotel or the like in the area. It was -15 outside and we were toasty in the yurt. The beds were the best I slept on in the country. The breakfast was good and checked all the boxes. I selfishly wanted more omelets/waffle hot bar options, but the breakfast was beyond good, and this was one of very few places that actually included breakfast with the hotel, so I will give their breakfast a 10/10 as well. Location was perfect too for both Aurora Viewing (we saw a massive aurora on 11/22/24) and we were right next to Geysir and waterfalls. We could see the glacier from the front porch. Very private yurts too! My pictures are of the aurora we saw from the front door of the Yurt. You can easily see them from these. I also included an indoor picture and one of the grounds.

From the moment we stepped into the house, it was obvious that the owner had put allot of effort and love into making this place. You could tell that, by the warm decoration of the room and cosy feel, the brand new furniture, the smell of cleanliness, the well washed dishes and silverware, the well stocked kitchenette with coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper, etc, the abundance of clean towels, the assortment of board games, and so on. This is one of those places were you wish you would get stranded because of weather or whatever, so that you have an excuse to stay there for a week and just relax and enjoy life.
