Rooms include a terrace with sea views. The staff was amazing, good food 3 times a day + a snack at 16:00. All snorkeling trips were decent. The snorkeling gear I rented was also good. If you ask the staff to go coconut crab hunting, expect a sweaty jungle walk over rough terrain and non-existing tracks 😊 Also, manage your expectations properly: it’s a bungalow next to the jungle, you will see bugs.

I visited 1 night before I went to the Banggai Islands, but I came back for a couple days more after them. There is a seating area inside as well as outside in the shadow and the bed is quite comfortable. There are 2 bathrooms: 1 with a warm shower and 1 with a cold shower, but both bathrooms have a ‘western’ toilet, expect for the flushing. They really make sure you have a nice stay and I really do recommend. The price/quality valua is really really great.

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. We had a great time staying at the Lavana resort. We initially wanted to stay 3 nights but in the end we stayed 6 😅 The managers are really trying to help where ever they can & are also excellent diving instructors. Speaking of the diving experience, the hotel has great reefs around it for diving & snorkling. Besides that, there are also trips for none divers like the vulcano tour & or the jelly fish tour, both we did and can highly recommend. All in all great experience & would happily come again!

Mr. Herson is very helpful and arranged a transport to pick up us at midnight in the bus stop. The resort has a boardwalk with beach chairs. The room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Though the room is a little bit dusty but it's not super bad. Toilet is nice and modern. Good water pressure from the shower, with hot shower too. The guy made us beautiful omelettes for breakfast, coffee & tea and several spreads option. It's atleast 5km away from the main town and there's no shop nearby. A motorbike to rent is available on site.

Neny was the best host ever, she helped me discovering her island and accompanied me as I was solo traveller. Her family and her are really welcoming. She is also the best cooker ever. The price may seem high for Indonesia but a part is going to the reforestation of coral reef. Neny is really implicated into the ocean life and even the island life, she cleans the beach every weekend with the kids. It was really nice to spend some days at Kia homestay, the view from the balcony is stunning and her cat Katy is the cutest ! I would love to come back again !
