We stayed for 2 nights at Ruma Kaca, Tiolina’s beautiful “house of glass” in Simanindo, and it was truly special. Tiolina is an exceptional host, incredibly kind and helpful. She arranged a driver to show us around the island and gave great advice for taking the ferry. The food was delicious, and nothing was ever too much to ask. The location is outstanding, and if you get the chance, ask her to sing! Her traditional Batak songs accompanied by her slightly out-of-tune piano only add to the charm of this magical place.

Good host (Dong&Siska) for being so informative on suggesting where to go,where to take a ferry,they also provide bike rental.The room is nice and in front of the stay got a good cafe for me to find for breakfast,lunch or dinner..those solo traveller might like it because the cafe got live band performance twice a week and I didn't mind the noise coming for it honestly because I can still manage to sleep peacefully safe and sound due to the whole day spent moving around the island😂
