We had a great stay here. Great hot shower too!

Everything is well organized and clean. The food and wine are on a high quality level, very friendly staff. The hotel has its own guides for the hikes, everybody involved to the business (owner, staff, guides) did a great job. The people at this location are hard working and offer a quality which is beyond normal cabo verde standards. The owner Marisa is a good leader and her husband Mustafa did a lot for the environment, like a new ladder to access the caves. Special thanks to Carlos Fernandez, the guide and wine farmer, who brought me to Pico de Fogo and the caves and showed me around the island the next day. I can definitely recommend him as a very experienced guide.

It was clean, with nicely arranged furnishings. The rooms were nicely arranged around a small pool and courtyard area. The staff were friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The location was very nice, we ate at very good restaurants that were just minutes walk from the hotel. They packed a wonderful to go breakfast for our early morning flight. We would highly recommend The hotel Savana for your Sao Filipe stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Helped us with finding a local guide who spoke English. Maniole made the experience for us - such a lovely, patient and kind man. He enabled us to climb the volcano.

Superb place to stay in the village of Cha das Caldeiras. The guesthouse is relatively new and taken well care of. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Convenient location just at the beginning of the hike to Pico. There is a hotel bar and restaurant on site with reasonable prices for water and drinks (indeed the same price as in the shop across the street). Do yourself a favor and arrange the food at the restaurant before you arrive, as the food here is absolutely delicious! Also possible to buy a packed sandwich for the early morning hike to the Pico, and perhaps have the breakfast packed (actually not much difference as the breakfast is bread, cheese, boiled egg and some fruits). Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

Villages on the lava field in caldera is incredible. Jose is super host. He organize pick up, cooking, tours around island. They brothers are very good gidės to climb to volcano. My big thanks to Felix. I would reccomend to stay there min. 2 nights.
