Fitted with a terrace, the units offer air conditioning and feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. A minibar is also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. This lodge is very expensive but worth every cent. We were welcomed at 12:30 by Henry who gave us immediate access to our room. This was huge with a lovely bathroom and small veranda overlooking bush. Completely private and peaceful. In the evening we watched the winter solstice sunset whilst enjoying complimentary drinks and canopies. A three course dinner followed which was excellent.

Pine Tree Motel is 5 minutes’ drive from Katherine Country Club, Katherine Hospital and the Rodeo Arena and Showground. Darwin is a 3-hour drive away. Really hospitable staff - we left a few items behind and they said we could send a package and then would post it back to us! Facilities were clean and expected.

Located in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Cooinda Lodge Kakadu offers air-conditioned rooms. Guests enjoy access to outdoor swimming pools and a restaurant. Warradjan Cultural Centre is 1 km from the property. The location is very close to the Yellow Water Cruise and about 30km to the rock art gallery. The lodge has been renovated and the bed is really comfortable. Because of the location, we took an afternoon break after seeing the rock art (38 degrees) and went to the Yellow Water Cruise later.

Contour Hotel is only a short drive from all the Katherine region has to offer. Set amongst 4 acres of tropical gardens it is the ideal base to explore, or to come home to after a long working day. Comfortable room with plenty of space. Excellent restaurant. Good breakfast was included in the price. Once we found the hotel it was well located for what we wanted to do. Good wifi.

The glamping tent was air-conditioned and comfortable, and the sunset experience on the elevated deck was amazing! Great location about 10 minutes from Nitmiluk. Finally, our host Carney was the best! Thanks for a great outback experience!

K - Town Hotel is a 4-star property set in Katherine. Featuring room service, this property also has a restaurant and a barbecue. There is a year-round outdoor pool and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Super-friendly staff.... great room; very clean and an excellent location.... close enough to the centre to walk but away from any issues (not that we saw anything significant but had expected it!). This is certainly the best place in town for accommodation.
