Everything was lovely, it's a very well planned apartment with exceptional reclining chairs. The area is really good too. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was perfect for a one-night stay. Ceres is a beautiful town, and we could easily have stayed longer. There is a lovely nature reserve a short walk away.

Air-conditioning was an incredible bonus in the Ceres summer heat. Large bed was fantastic. Loved the fixtures and layout, garden was pretty. The little lindt chocolates and can of JC Le Roux was a nice little surprise to arrive to! Especially since we were staying for our anniversary.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of our host, Wikus. From the moment we arrived, Wikus kindly guided us and ensured we felt welcome. Honestly, everything was perfect! Wonderful host, very comfortable and luxurious cottage, safe parking behind gates, warm, comfortable bed, peaceful and quiet! Cleaning and washing products provided, tea and coffee etc. The house was cleaned every day, firewood stocked up, beautiful protea flowers waiting for us in the spacious living room!

This is a gorgeous, spacious cottage, pleasantly cool inside despite the December heat. Very clean and comfortable. The facilities are great and the pool was very welcome. We loved the little treats provided! Vaughan and Margot are charming and unobtrusive hosts.

We stayed in "klipspringer" cottage for 3 nights in January. What a lovely peaceful experience. Anita was most helpful and accommodating. The scenery is breathtaking and the cottage transports you back in time to simpler days. Kids loved the swimming pool and the local dog who came to visit almost daily. If you are in need of a super relaxing break this is definitely the place to come to.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Jeannie’s Plaashuis this past weekend while taking on the Tankwa Trek, and what an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, Jeannie made us feel like family. After long, tough days of racing, coming back to her home didn’t just feel like a stay—it felt like coming home. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable—fresh ice and clean towels every day, even taking care of our mud-covered cycling gear, which was a lifesaver. Her kindness and hospitality truly set this place apart. And the peacefulness of the farm? Unmatched. Waking up to the stillness of nature and unwinding in such a tranquil setting made the entire experience even more special. If you’re ever in the area, whether for adventure or a peaceful getaway, I can’t recommend Jeannie’s Plaashuis enough.
