We loved staying in Dean's cottage. It was a shame we only stayed here one night as would have enjoyed relaxing here or cooking on the braai. It was a really cold day when we stayed and we appreciated it that Dean had the heating on ready for us and the fire was ready to go - so it was cosy. The bed was really comfy and the juices and coffee were appreciated thanks.

Sandy’s place is in a great position in Barrydale. Easy to find and very safe. Everyone was incredibly helpful at the property, including help with my very first braai. The room was cleaned every day and sheets were changed regularly. The swimming pool came in very handy when it became hot.

The services are top-notch, and the lodges are luxurious and well-maintained. The organization of the safaris is flawless: we spotted giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, rhinos and antelope. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has lots of lovely touches to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is huge and there are great views from the front porch. Jamie met us soon after our arrival and was always available to answer questions. She made dinner reservations for us at MUD Modern and recommended many places to go in the area. Jamie even gave us an ice pack and box to transport the sheep's milk yoghurt we bought. We loved how bright and clean the cottage is and highly recommend staying here.

Amazing experience, nature drives truly memorable. Excellent accomodation, service, food and organisation. Our guide JayLee ensured we saw many sightings. If coming for the first time I would recommend staying at least two nights, one night for me would not be enough to fully take in the lodge and the reserve.

I loved this accommodation. Unfortunately the bath didn’t work which was something that made me choose that room so that was a disappointment but nothing that ruined my stay or anything. The host was lovely and the guest house is beautiful. It’s very cold in winter but electric blankets and small touches like bathrobes really helped especially if you accidentally under pack for your stay. My card payment didn’t work online and the owners kindly let me pay when I left. That’s unusual and it was very much appreciated.

The accommodation is fantastic. The owners thought of everything. It is super clean with lovely bedding and towels. Cute coffee station with Nespresso machine and pods. Fridge was also stocked with milk and fresh juices. The braai area is also a plus - wood and firelighters and matches were provided (very thoughtful). There is also an inverter for the WiFi. We unfortunately only spent a night as we were doing a Route 62 road-trip - would have LOVED to stay a few nights longer. Would highly recommend.
