We hired our scooter through the accomodation and had zero issues. The owners have put together a fantastic guide book for the island. Accomodation manager was also very nice, makes fairly good coffee. Only 100m from a great swimming beach that has a very cool bar and a couple of other accommodations where you can use their pool as long as you buy something to eat or drink there. Restaurants close by as well. We hired a scooter for a couple of days to get around which is always fun and very helpful for exploring.
