Spacious, clean, good beds, quiet area. The outdoor patio was nice, with separate seating areas and a pool with loungers. It was a 20 minute steep down/up hill walk to the city centre, but with a bus stop next door. Overall great location. But what made it fantastic were the hosts. They were all I could want for my first solo vacation. A little chat here, a safety check there, really really awesome people. We were welcomed in the kindest way and had a great time there! The apartment itself offers all you need or wish for (proper kitchen, washing machine, sun lounger, a garden to relax with a hammock) and you get a breathtaking view over Funchal on top of the bundle. We were supplied with fresh fruit from the garden and delicious local dishes. The location is really close to Funchal center (10 Minute walk via a steep incline or steps) but if typical Madeira inclines are not your thing that you are well connected via public bus. It has an excellent location - bus to the airport and the city center, parking space, quick access to the highway. The accommodation is super clean. It is spacious, three people did not feel cramped. The accommodation has everything you need - bath towels for the pool, washing machine, cleaning products... The furniture is modern. There is a view of the sea from the balcony.
