The breakfast provisions were terrific (bread, juice, jams etc) and the homemade choc chip biscuits were delicious (and much appreciated). The host met us on arrival and was very attentive but not overbearing. The room itself was large and comfortable with nice touches like a selection of snacks (including homemade biscuits) and earlier check-in than usual (1pm vs the usual 2pm). The breakfast selection was also great. There was a lovely shared deck out the front of the units and the grounds themselves are well-kept. It looked a bit tired from the outside and we were nervous about whether it would be good to stay at. But it had 'hidden depths' and was surprisingly comfortable, clean and spacious. I'd really recommend it (as long as you're not seeking 5 star accommodation and aren't bothered by '80s decor).
