An absolutely beautiful and cosy little cottage. It was immaculately clean and very well and comfortably furnished. It is such a pretty and welcoming cottage with all the amenities we needed. We absolutely adored staying in this stunning cabin - everything was perfect. The view is to die for, beds are comfortable, spacious bathroom, large kitchen with all amenities, furniture is well arranged and high quality. Splendid hotel that we chose being centered in our Lofoten tour. We reached the marina where the hotel is located and found the rorbue and the "hotel" itself just nearby. Quick and kind check-in and we were guided to the rooms... the first 2 minutes walking up the internal stairs, I believe we were wanting to leave immediately... then we reached the 1st floor and i saw the family faces change to a positive surprise, which became even more positive when we entered the rooms. I have no difficulty in stating that these were the best rooms in all our travel. Size wise, really large and spacious. furniture and style SUPER! From wooden floors made with ship recycled wood to the color of the walls all the way to the accessories, all is studied to combine modern look and connection to the ships and rorbuers. Beautiful indeed. Bathroom is very large ours included the bathtub, sons' had 2 large showers. Towels were provided on both days. We also took advantage of the dinner on one evening. Try and you will understand why their restaurant is fully booked! quality and level of cooking are at superior level... and being "picky Italians" this is a big compliment outside our nation.

Everything was perfect! A cozy holiday home in a quaint, not touristy area, perfect for longer stays too. The living room was lovingly furnished, the kitchen perfectly equipped. The village is in comfortable driving distance for most tourist spots (and a lot of hidden gems), very good shopping center in the nearby town.

It was literally the best accommodation we've ever stayed in. House itself looks amazing, and it has everything that you need, and the location is just perfect. We were waking up every day to a stunning view, and it didn't matter if it was sunny or rainy day.

The best accommodation on our trip to Lofoten! Beautiful location, amazing panoramic windows with a view over Ballstad, incredibly clean (so that you understand - the keys were sterilized upon our arrival) and very comfortable till every single detail. The kitchen had all the needed utilities but also everything is new and of good quality. The communication was also very friendly and every single issue (we forgot something) was figured out quickly. I wish we stayed here longer!

Jostein’s accomodation fully exceeded our expectations. We instantly felt at home the moment we entered - everything was very well thought out, super clean and cosy. The location was great too! Despite not being in a remote area we managed to see the northern lights from the backyard on two nights we were there! Thank you Jostein for an amazing stay and for being a great host!

Spacious Cabin with most amazing views and sauna with everything you need for a self catering stay away. We travelled as a family of 5 and the accommodation was perfect for us, great communication with owners and breathtaking views of the water and mountains. Have been so lucky to observe northen lights for all 3 nights of our stay here as well. Would recommend the place to everyone.

I've stayed at many hostels, and this amongst the very best. Ian the manager is incredibly friendly, helpful, and passionate about this accomodation, which is essentially a labour of love on his part. Very sociable and cozy atmosphere in an authentic rorbuer, with lots of little touches. Ballstad is also very well located. I hired a bike from the rental store nearby and used it to explore around the Lofoten. Highly recommend for any trip to the Lofoten Islands.
