We’ve been visiting Sri Lanka with our family for many years, but very few places have impressed us as much as Splendour Residence. Sure, there might be some minor imperfections here and there – but they’re completely outweighed by how smoothly everything runs and how exceptional the guest care is. The staff is absolutely fantastic – from the owner to every single member of the team. Everyone is kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Our little daughter received such lovely attention and care, and it made the whole stay even more special for us. The food was excellent, and the surroundings – both indoor and outdoor – were beautiful. There is a clear emphasis on space and comfort throughout the property, which we truly appreciated. The entire hotel feels well-thought-out, peaceful, and harmonious. I sometimes give a 10/10 rating on Booking, even when a place has a few flaws that are balanced by other strengths. But Splendour Residence deserves more than just a perfect score. If I could rate it higher, I absolutely would. We even changed our travel plans just to stay a little longer – that’s how much we loved it here. And if we ever return to Sri Lanka, there’s no doubt – we’ll be coming back here.

We were warmly welcomed and surprised by location, villa, atmosphere, staff, ocean. A very private, elegant & cosy hideaway, Indian Ocean quite in front our room, great breakfast was served, the staff took care of all our wishes, we also loved to visit the owners restaurant nearby, tasting all the fresh seafood. The owner speaks Italian & English. What a pity that our stay was so short. This accommodation is a good reason to come back and stay longer.

One of the best hotel stays we had experienced, everything was perfect from the staff to the property and the food was exceptional! We were taken care of by every single staff member we came across. The attention to details was above our expectations. We were also lucky enough to be there during their menu makeover and had a wonderful experience with Group Chef Sumudu whom was passionate about his menu and keen to hear feedback! Food is very delicious and we had a fantastic breakfast .Before preparing our food chef Shyamal talked to us and made everything according to our needs . Fabulous beach hotel. The staff were attentive and always happy to cater to our needs. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect view. The food was delicious and flavourful. The grounds are neatly kept. During our stay, there were many other couples enjoying their stay, in a comfortable quiet and relaxing atmosphere. No kids to be seen which made it even more wonderful to unwind. We will be back.

Very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Due to the small size and the location without any other bigger hotels around, this place feels very secluded and quite. When staying a few nights, it is very easy to connect to other guest or enjoy complete privacy. The beach is beautiful and sunsets are amazing. We would come back surely.

This hotel is heavenly. It is right on the most perfect beach and surrounded by trees and the occasional wild life. The rooms are large, luxurious and have large private gardens. The staff are well trained with the aim of providing a perfect holiday experience. This was the last of six hotels that we stayed at across Sri Lanka and was by far the best. The chef produced exceptional dishes and reasonably priced. We felt very cared for at Sundara. Thank you.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service. The Madu river scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to stay in such a quiet and peaceful environment. It is a really great location and a very loyal staff with adorable hospitality.
